Overview

ChatTrix is a local desktop application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data ChatTrix accesses, how it is used, and what we never do with it.

What ChatTrix accesses

ChatTrix reads your Instagram direct messages through a locally controlled browser session on your device. Specifically:

• Unreplied DM conversations — username and message content
• Message sender labels (sent vs received)
• Conversation preview text visible in your inbox

What we never do

• We never send full conversation history to any server
• We never send your Instagram credentials or login data
• We never store your Instagram credentials
• We never access your Instagram account outside of your explicit use of the app
• We never sell, share, or monetize your data in any form
• We never collect analytics or usage data
• We never Store your data on our servers

How your data is processed

ChatTrix processes your data in two stages:

• Local processing — Your Instagram login, browser session, and cookies never leave your device. The scraping happens entirely on your machine.
• Cloud analysis — Unreplied inbox previews (username, message preview, timestamp only) are sent to Groq's API for AI categorization. Full conversation history, your replies, and any conversations you've already responded to are never sent.

We send the minimum data necessary — only what's visible in your inbox preview. Nothing more.

License key system

ChatTrix uses a local license key to manage trial access. Your license key is stored on your device only. We do not maintain a database of user accounts or personal information.

Third-party services

ChatTrix uses the Groq API for language processing. Please review Groq's privacy policy at groq.com for information on how they handle data submitted to their API.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of ChatTrix after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
